Michelle Cantave, Research
Analyst and Programmer, recently presented at the American Association
of Public Opinion Research in Hollywood, Florida presented the results
of an experiment that tested the effect of changing interviewer pay
structure on productivity and data quality. Co-authors of this presentation included: Dr. Elham-Eid Alldredge, Ph.D., President.

Dr. Elham-Eid Alldredge,
Ph.D., served as a panel member for the American Sociological
Association at their annual meeting in Boston, MA on the topic of Networking with Sociologists in Applied and Research Settings: Sociologists in Research Careers. This workshop focused on the research and career experiences of sociologists working outside the academy.
Dr. Elena Vinogradova, Ph.D.,
recently presented a paper at the American Sociological Association's
annual meeting in Boston, MA. The paper was entitled, What works? Best Practices in Maryland Public Schools. Co-writers of this paper were Candice King, MGT of America, and Tom Rhoades, of MSDE

EVALUATION PROJECT
REDA International, Inc. has been selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, for the Pennsylvania Title V Statewide Needs and Capacity Assessment. Data collection for the needs
assessment includes telephone surveys of parents/individuals, focus groups with consumers, advocacy
organizations, and other stakeholders in various locations throughout the
Commonwealth, and key informant interviews with advocacy
organizations, and other stakeholders. The evalutation portion includes analysis of secondary data, analysis of quantitative data collected through the telephone
surveys, and analysis of qualitative data obtained from focus groups and key
informant interviews.
WEB SURVEY
The Alliance
for Information on Maternal and Child Health (AIM) Grantee Collaborative is a
Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) collaborative of 17 national membership
organizations and the MCHB. REDA was awarded a contract to evaluate the collective and
collaborative efforts of the AIM grantees. REDA and its subcontractor, J &
E Associates, will be responsible for: conducting interviews with all AIM grantees;
review of related documents and current evaluation tools; development of an
evaluation plan; training grantees in the required data collection; providing
technical assistance to grantees as needed; analyzing evaluation data;
conducting a literature review on collaboration issues and outcomes; evaluating
the AIM Collaborative’s semi-annual meetings; and preparing a written final
report that summarizes the evaluation findings.
REDA in the News
A recent article written in The Baltimore Sun, talks about work REDA
International, Inc. did in conjunction with MGT of America. The
Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) awarded a contract to MGT
of America (MGT). REDA International Inc. (REDA) served as a
sub-contractor to MGT. This contract was put in place to conduct a
comprehensive review and evaluation of the effect of increased state
aid to local school systems through The Bridge to Excellence in Public Schools Act on student, school, and
school system performance.
